Accessioning Unit

What we do.

The Accessioning Unit (AU) is a core service through the Duke Human Vaccine Institute (DHVI) that provides support for human and non-human clinical studies as well as small animal studies.

The AU is housed within state of the art facilities at the Duke Research and Development at RTP campus with ample space for specimen processing, storage, and retrieval for a variety of research studies. The team works closely with both internal and external investigators to ensure biorepository and accessioning needs are met and that sample shipments are requested, tracked, and received on time.

In order to best serve researchers and ensure that all proper compliance checks have been performed, we require a consultation prior to initiating any study.
