Dan Crair

Research Tech II

Dan joined DHVI as an undergraduate in 2020 and, after a break due to COVID restrictions, returned as a Research Tech II in 2021. He has a BS in Biology and an AB in Cultural Anthropology from Duke University.

Dan is particularly interested in the effect of influenza NA production in cell lines with differing sialic acid linkages on NA activity. His areas of expertise include ELISA, ELLA, and conjugations.

Outside of lab, Dan enjoys traveling and hopes to visit every state in the US. He has been to 17 states so far but hopes for more (safe!) travel in 2022. He is also an Eagle Scout and loves camping, hiking, and anything that gives him an adrenaline rush!
