Isabel Wright, MPH

Scientific Program Leader (2022)

Isabel has a BS in Health Sciences from James Madison University and a Master of Public Health (MPH) from Virginia Tech (go Hokies!).

She joined the lab in 2020 and helped manage the influenza programs. She enjoyed learning about the vaccine design and development process and working with such an incredible group of people.

Isabel is an American Red Cross Executive Board Member in the Central North Carolina Chapter and chairs the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Committee. She also served on the DEI Committee at the Duke Human Vaccine Institute.

Originally from sunny Puerto Rico, Isabel is fluent in español and misses the beach quite terribly. When she’s not writing to-do lists and checking her planner, she enjoys crafting, cooking, and planning trips with her family.
